The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development & Incubation, National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India is implementing a project on Business and Management Capacity Development for Rural Women Entrepreneurs of India and Sri Lanka. The year-long project is funded by The Asia Foundation. University of Jaffna and South Eastern University are the Sri Lankan Partners, along with Women Entrepreneurs' Association of Tamil Nadu (WEAT) as the Network partner. The proposed project aims to develop and sustain the business and management capacity of women entrepreneurs of Tamil Nadu, and to transfer the best practices to rural Tamil women entrepreneurs of Sri Lanka, located particularly in the northern and eastern provinces. Women micro Entrepreneurs’ product exhibition was held at the faculty on 15th and 16th of October 2015, on the theme “penetrating platform for lively hood”. This exhibition was organized by the Incubation cell of the faculty of management Studies and Commerce.Purposes of the exhibition were to make awareness on the locally made products from war affected places, and women headed micro businesses, and giving market access to them. There were 37 women micro business ventures participated in the exhibition.
