The Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC) is the fast-growing Faculty in the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, with committed to the expansion of knowledge and preparation of management and commerce professionals through qualityteaching,learningandresearch. The FMSC provides many IT services to students, teachers and other staff.
An ELab of faculty has above 50 computers with internet connectivity. this lab contain many facilitation to students, teachers to do learning, teaching and reach acclivities. Technical assistants are providing service from this elab.
The MaCoSIS is an online information system to keep students’ information, to provide information to students, publish results to students instantly and call applications from students for examinations, Re-registrations and select specialization etc.
We are providing Google Workspace account in maco.jfn.ac.lk domain to students.
Google Workspace include collaboration tools like Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, and more.
Faculty has VPN network from LEARN. we are providing WiFi internet access to staff and students in faculty premise. Students can request through following form:
eduID is simpler and more secure
LEARN eduID is to provide students and staff members with lifelong learning, research, and collaboration with a number of research institutions and companies. eduID is easier because you only have to remember one username and password to access many services around the world. It is also safer for the Universities because it is connected to a real individual.
Soon after your eduID is activated (in 48 hours), you will be able to access Microsoft Office 365 educational (A1) package which includes online office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.). MS Teams will help you to collaborate with each other; you can have group video meetings. Data charges will apply for using these applications.
